Do I need to have vaccinations when travelling to Seychelles?

The Seychelles is free of tropical diseases therefore no health risks are involved.  Nevertheless, should one has any specific health requirement, please contact Victoria Hospital, P O Box 32, Tel +248 388000.

When is the best time to visit Seychelles?

The island has a warm tropical climate year round.  Such climate are split in two – North West Monsoon starts from October to April consisting of low wind, calm seas; South East Monsoon runs from May to September with brisker wind and agitated sea.


Do I need a Visa to visit Seychelles?

Regardless of your country of origin, there is no need for any official invitation or Visa to visit Seychelles.  However the following documents are required upon entering the country:

- Valid passport
- Return or onward airline ticket
- Proof of accommodation including contact details


What are the opening hours of shops and market?

In Victoria the shop opens from 0900hrs to 1700hrs from Monday to Friday and 0900hrs to 1300hrs on Saturdays.  As for the market, such is open from 0800hrs to 1700hrs, Monday to Saturday.  Small shops are also available in the vicinity of the hotel and opens from 0900hrs to 1900hrs.


What is the check-in and check-out time?

The standard check in time is at 1500hrs and check-out at 1200hrs. Nevertheless early check-in or late check-out can be organized upon request basis and an extra cost will be liable.


Is internet access available in the hotel and what is the cost?

Internet is available throughout the hotel.  WIFI facilities in the lobby, Cocoloba bar and Le Cardinal restaurant is free of charge. As for the rooms, we offer free basic internet connection for general browsing and light email download. For high speed connection, we have a supplement for day packages starting at 20 Euros per day.


How can we get to the hotel and what is the cost?

Taxi transfer can be organized upon making your booking or upon disembarkation at the International Airport and cost is from €40.00 onwards.


Where can one take public transport and what is the cost?

The bus stops are located 100 meters on the left side upon exiting the hotel premises.  The public buses to Victoria are scheduled every 40 minutes and cost SCR5.00 per person per way.


What are the means of payment accepted?

Payment can be done via bank transfers, traveller’s cheque or credit cards.  Cards accepted at the hotel are Visa, Eurocard, Master, American Express and Diners.


What are the acceptable currencies and what is the current rate exchange?

The Euro, GBP and US Dollars are all accepted as well as some other major international currencies.  The approximate rate exchanges are Euro to SCR is 1:16; USD to SCR 1:13 and GBP to SCR 1:20. Rate fluctuations occur on a daily basis hence the above mentioned varies daily.


What is the dress code at the hotel?

While swimming trunks, beach wear, and shorts are acceptable during the daytime around the hotel, the hotel requires guests to dress appropriately for dinner in the restaurants:
• For Gentlemen: Long pants, t-shirts with a collar or shirts and shoes/slippers.
• For Ladies: Smart casual wear, including trousers, skirts, or dresses.


Are there any other restaurants in the vicinity?

Several restaurants are located close by to the hotel.  Such premises are reachable by taxi transfer, cost from €20 per way depending on distances.


How can we make a tour of the island or excursion?

Tours and excursions can be organized directly with a Local Handling Agent or their representative located at the hotel.  Island tours also can be done with taxi and cost depends upon type chosen.
