Diving in Seychelles

See the Underwater world

With islands scattered across the Indian Ocean Seychelles offers diverse and impressive diving opportunities. Enjoy an immense variety of marine life, schools of pelagic fish, colorful corals and have a chance of an exciting encounter with whale sharks or manta rays.

Diving Sites

The different islands each have their own special sites. The northerly sites has impressive granite reef locations where the sculptured rocks are covered with soft corals and sponges. The southerly sides have wall dives, drop-off dives and drift diving opportunities as well. The Ennerdale Wreck and Brissare rocks are ones of the worlds renowned sites.

On the ourter islands, to discover are the little-visited sites whereby sand cays, caves and canyons.  Impressive dive sites are also found at the world famous legendary Aldabra atoll.  Discover it's dramatic terraced walls, swim with green turtles and experience the thrilling drift while diving through the pass of its giant lagoons.

Best Dive Season

Diving in Seychelles is possible all year round but is governed by the islands position and the prevailing winds. The best diving season is in the calm periods, April to June and October to December, when the water temperature can rise to 30ºC and visibility often over 35 metres on offshore sites.
